TUSCALOOSA, AL — Crimson Tide defensive back Malachi Moore and linebacker Will Anderson, Jr. were named to the Freshman All-America team published Monday by the Football Writers Association of America, which comes after notable contributions from both in Alabama's run to an 18th national title. Anderson also earned the distinction of being named the Shaun Alexander-FWAA Freshman of the Year. Moore, a native of Trussville, earned a starting spot on the Tide defense during the 2020 campaign, which also saw him selected to the SEC All-Freshman Team, All-SEC second team and Freshman All-American teams by 247 Sports and The Athletic.
