old jazz and pop guitarist seeks band

Hi. I'm a jazz-oriented guitarist of retirement age. Most of my pro playing experience was with pop dance rock commercial music, not jazz. We played mostly commercial copies, but a few tunes per set were open for soloing- all part of the party. I'd be interested in finding a similar band. In recent times the bands I've investigated are interested in ONLY copies, no open sections for guys to play. I'd be interested in finding the former, a playing band. In my day we also played a wide variety of styles, which also kept it interesting. I don't know if there are any other guys my age like me, former pro players who want to play again, but in a town this size I figure there must be. Please write if you're out there. I also sing some.
