Kunle Community seeks volunteers with compassion, good listening skills, and a desire to help people. Having good people skills, having worked with people with mental health challenges, and/or having knowledge of mental health to assist us in running a Warm line is preferred. A Warm line is a free, noncrisis talk line. Callers to the Warm line who are stressed, experiencing a mental health challenge, depressed, anxious, or feeling lost and alone can connect with a trained volunteer to talk to. We are looking for mature adults 18 and over for the Warm line. Listening skills are very important. If you volunteer, there will be extensive training. Right now, the hours for the Warm line are from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. These hours may change with time. Please contact Kunle Community if you are interested.
