Description
Photo is from Christmas.
Male retriever, five months old. I'm having to rehome him because he is very high energy, and living in an apartment, with some of my health issues, has made me realize he needs more.
What an ideal home would have:
-Fenced yard
-No small children (jumping is an issue right now)
-Another big dog (he loves friends!)
-An owner who can walk him for a long period at least once a day, if not twice
He's fine with cats or small dogs, though he seems to intimidate some timid ones because he just wants to play with them all! We've been hammering in basics of training. He's really not doing well with potty training in an apartment, but he stayed with my brother for a time and seemed to have little issue when he had a yard. He responds to treats and love the best when training. We've gotten sit and lay down most of the time, have been slowly building impulse control. Puppy biting has mostly been trained out, though he's accidentally bitten me once during play in the last month (he just went for the toy and poor boy got my hand). He's not neutered, he will need his 3rd and 4th round of shots. He looooovvvessss chewing so things like goat's horns do really well for him.
What he has:
-Short field coat
-Microchip
-1st/2nd round of shots
-AKC registration
-Breeding rights
-Harness/leash (Though I recommend upgrading to a front hook harness since he's getting bigger... and he knows it)
-Various toys
-Training treats
-Kennel+Bed
Rehoming fee is required, and I will bombard you with questions. He's my baby, and it breaks my heart I have to do this, so I want to ensure the placement is right. Email for inquiries.
