Press release from the Newton South High School PTSO: January 15, 2021 The Girls Newton Hockey team "The Crush" has six Newton South members representing the Newton community. The team split their series vs Braintree last week and they are competing vs Wellesley this week. Their next game is Saturday at Wellesley. The puck drops at 5:30 PM. The Boys Varsity Hockey team open their season vs Waltham. The team played an exciting game-tying 2-2 on their first outing. Saturday game vs Waltham has been canceled. The Boys JV hockey team opened their season vs Concord Carlisle last Sunday under the guidance of first year coaches Jeff Pike and Alex Klapes.
