Press release from the Newton South High School PTSO: January 15, 2021 Both our co-ops teams had started their seasons. The girls' Newton Hockey team "The Crush" has six Newton South members representing the Newton community. The team split their series vs Braintree last week and they are competing vs Wellesley this week. Their next game is Saturday at Wellesley. The puck drops at 5:30 PM. The boys' gymnastics team is defending its state crown this year. Two gymnasts from South are competing in the team guided by coach Tom Steeves and first-year coach Rani Jacobson.
