The Larry Jones Memorial Foundation is hosting the Second LarryPalooza concert to raise money for scholarships to be given out Summer 2021! The Larry Jones Memorial Fund was created to honor a very courageous, strong willed, honest and active member of the Highland, Marine and St. Jacob communities. Larry graduated from Highland high school in 2012. Shortly after he graduated, he realized that he could be a positive attribute to his community and chose to join the Marine/St. Jacob Jaycees in 2016. Immediately after joining, Larry begin to share ideas and host events which raised money to better his community. Some of the events he dedicated himself to provided funds which were donated to the grade school libraries, awarded scholarships, sent children to summer camp and bought Christmas presents and food for families who were struggling during the holiday season. Larry didn’t stop at that, though. He loved giving back so much that he wanted to join another Jaycees chapter. He became a member of the Highland Jaycees in 2018 and ran fundraisers to assist with Schweitzerfest, nothing but nets (sends mosquito nets to third world counties to fight malaria), the humane society and paying the bills of families in need. Larry lost his life on January 27, 2019 in a devastating car accident. Even after he had passed, he didn’t stop giving. Larry had opted to be an organ donor and was able to donate several organs, saving many, many lives. Larry loved music and local bands were his favorite! He was a “groupie” for several bands from the Highland area. These bands loved seeing him in the crowd and decided to get together and put on a concert in his honor! This will be the second LarryPalooza event hosted by the Larry Jones Memorial Foundation. Proceeds raise at LarryPalooza 2021 will be awarded in the form of scholarships in Larry’s name!
