Carpet Cleaning Scam Beware

The business goes by the name Local Green Carpet Cleaning. Their website is www.greencarpetscleaning.com. I scheduled for my rug to be cleaned and a man showed up to my apartment at the agreed upon day/time. He charged me upfront for the rug which I thought was odd but everything up until that point seemed legit (well designed website, quick/professional responses) plus he seemed to know what he was talking about and just seemed generally sincere. Boy was I wrong. He took my rug and said it would be professionally cleaned at their warehouse and would be ready in 5-7 days. I texted him 10 days later and he never responded. I then called the main line and a different man who went by the name “Sean” answered. He told me I must be mistaken and that I had the wrong company. I have a trove of information I’ve retrieved about these individuals and their scam business. Trying to track down other individuals in Ventura County who have been targeted so that a case can be brought against them. Please contact me if you have any info/experienced the same thing.
