SAN JOSE CA — As of 7:22 p.m. Sunday, police were at the scene where a vehicle struck a pedestrian near Monterey Highway and Branham Lane East in San Jose. The injuries to the pedestrian are currently life-threatening, police said. Southbound Monterey Highway is closed to traffic between Skyway Drive and Branham Lane East, police said. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
