DACULA, GA — While there won't be a parade and other festivities celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year, the holiday will still impact things like mail delivery. Many government services are already affected by coronavirus closures. Government offices: All Gwinnett County services — except those required for public safety, such as law enforcement and fire and rescue — will be closed Monday. City of Dacula offices also will be closed Monday.Libraries: Gwinnett County libraries will be closed Monday.Health services: Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale County Health Departments will be closed Monday. The COVID-19 vaccine, however, will be administered Monday to individuals who have vaccination appointments.Animal shelter: The Bill Atkinson Animal Welfare Center will be closed Monday.
