Rehoming Male Yellow Bellied Slider

Description
❤️I’m looking to rehome my wonderful turtle, no fee, proof of a proper habitat is required❤️ please share with anyone who you think would be interested in adopting a new son, sometime within the next few months! Unfortunately I found out my turtle Agnes is a male (I got him on Craigslist a year and a half ago & was told he was a female) and can no longer house him with my older female 😓 I am very lucky they’ve got along so well, and haven’t mated! 🐢Agnes is around 3 years old 🐢Yellow bellied slider 🐢5 inches (shell) could grow to 8inch 🐢Could potentially live to 30-50 years old when properly cared for 🐢Cohabiting turtles is not recommended and could be dangerous (I have learned since adopting him) they are solitary creatures & can become aggressive even after years of living together 🐢Turtles in general do not love being handled, though Agnes is very calm especially compared to my older turtle 🐢He’s very active, and reactive when people are near the tank 🐢He’s a truly beautiful creature who would love a home where someone can commit to taking care of him for his very lengthy lifespan Habitat requirements will be pricey unless you can score a tank & filter used/Craigslist/market place. After initial set up costs, maintenance cost is relatively low but will cost your time. 🐢At least an 80 gallon tank (turtles need 10 gal per inch of their shell) 🐢reinforced tank stand 🐢an above tank basking area, lights set up where they are 10-12 inches above the top of their shell 🐢A double dome light (suggest Zoomed) 🐢a UBV & heat bulb 🐢A filter that can filter 3x the size of your tank (turtles produce more waste than fish so a larger filter is required) I highly recommend the fluval x6 🐢standard pellets are fed every three days and a piece of greens the size of their shell is fed daily 🐢25% water changes weekly 🐢 I clean my fluval filter every 3 months (investing in a strong-larger than you may need filter will save you a tremendous amount of time and money in the long run) Turtle husbandy can be a bit complex but I’m happy to help answer and questions or walk someone through the process! If I can’t find the right home I will be purchasing a duplicate set up to keep him in
