In this novelty taxidermy class you'll learn how to mount a red squirrel from start to finish and go home with your completed set!
In this one day taxidermy class, you'll be learning how to skin, prep, and mount a red squirrel, head & rump set. We'll be going over all of the details so that you learn the skills you need to start basic taxidermy. This is a great gateway into the world of this unique art form!
Where: Hive and Forge in Salem MA
When: Sunday February 28th, 2020 Class runs 12pm-5pm
Who: Working alongside licensed taxidermist Nicole Baldelli. She is the owner of the businesses Nikki Deerest Novelty Taxidermy and Lone Fox Taxidermy. She has over 5 years of taxidermy experience and a wide range of background with art and animals.
Details: This class is 18+ as we will be working with sharp objects.
Parking: There is a lot next to Hive and Forge where you can park. Salem also has multiple parking garages and lots in the area.
What's included: All basic supplies needed to complete your taxidermy piece. We will also provide some light refreshments.
Class sizes are limited to 5 students to allow proper social distancing guidelines. Masks are required while inside Hive & Forge and the workshop.
***No animals used for my classes are harmed for the purpose of taxidermy. I work with breeders, friends, and fellow good Samaritans to source animals that have either died naturally or are a result of the farming/meat industry. All remains are used and nothing goes to waste
