Manatee County Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges: FDLE

PALMETTO, FL — Odie Brock Ely of Palmetto was arrested on 20 counts of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony, the Florida Department of Law enforcement said. Due to the number of images and the sexual battery of the children depicted in the images, each count qualifies to be increased to a second-degree felony according to state law, FDLE said. FDLE agents worked with the FBI to execute a search warrant at Ely's home. They found numerous videos of children involved in sex acts on his computer. Some of the child victims were under the age of five, the FDLE said. Ely was arrested and booked into the Manatee County Jail on a no-bond status pending first appearance. Like what you're reading?
