WESTPORT, CT — Two people accused of burglarizing a business in October 2020 were arrested after turning themselves in to Westport police last week.
Two people, 30-year-old Jonathan Acuna and 23-year-old Nemesis Velazquez, are accused of breaking in to a business on Elm Street and burglarizing offices, according to a news release from Westport police.
The release states police used surveillance footage to identify the two suspects. Stolen property was also found in their home, police said.
Jonathan Acuna (Courtesy of Westport Police Department)An arrest warrant was issued both suspects, and both Acuna and Velazquez turned themselves in at the Westport Police Department on Jan. 7.
They were both charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of fourth-degree larceny, two counts of third-degree conspiracy to commit burglary and two counts of fourth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny.
Acuna and Velazquez were released after posting $50,000 bond and are both set to be arraigned in Norfolk Superior Court on Feb. 19.
