Members Sought For New HCPSS Committee

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Individuals are being sought to serve on a new business management academy program advisory committee for the Howard County Public School System. Community members or representatives of local organizations with a background or interest in finance, advertising, marketing, human resources, banking/investing or economics are encouraged to apply for a seat on the committee. Committee members will review the curriculum to ensure alignment with industry trends and technologies; provide ideas and input regarding guest speakers, activities and special events to support student learning; and/or mentor or advise students in preparing for competitions and building professional skills. The committee meets twice during the school year, during the fall and spring. Meetings during the 2020-2021 school year will be held virtually. Interested participants are asked to complete an online interest form by March 30.Advisory committees are in place for all of the HCPSS Career Academies and new members are welcome.
