Westfield High School Students Earn Perfect Score On SAT

WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield school district announced this week that seven Westfield High School students earned perfect scores of 800 on subject area tests of the Nov. 7 SAT. The students, and their subjects, are: Math: Amanda Cerrachio, 12th grade Cynthia Li, 11th grade Katherine Palmer, 11th grade Lillian Qin, 11th grade Vijay Sreenivasan, 11th grade Ashley Talwar, 11th grade Math Level 2: Carsen Sharkey, 11th grade According to the College Board, Math Level 1 covers algebra and geometry, while Level 2 includes trigonometry and precalculus. "I commend you for this outstanding achievement for it speaks volumes about your abilities and your commitment to your education," WHS principal Mary Asfendis said in a letter to each student.
