NORTH HAVEN, CT — A man was arrested Thursday after police said he returned to Bozzuto's in North Haven with a gun after an argument with a co-worker.
A manager at Bozzuto's Distributors, 400 North Frontage Rd., called 911 around 6:10 p.m. The manager reported that two employees were arguing earlier and one of them, Duane Woodard, returned to the building with a gun, according to police.
Police said Woodard, 52, confronted the employee he had been arguing with and brandished the gun. That employee left the area and other employees coaxed Woodard into leaving the building, according to police.
Arriving officers stopped Woodard's vehicle as he was trying to drive off the property. Officers found a Glock 43 gun inside the vehicle, police said.
Woodard, a convicted felon, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree threatening, carrying without a permit, weapon in a motor vehicle, first-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He was being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
