Colorado's Safer Main Streets Program has announced five transportation projects in Denver worth $24.3 million. The Colorado Department of Transportation partnered with the Denver Regional Council of Governments to select the projects, which aim to improve safety and accessibility in the city. The five applications were chosen for funding based on their qualifications to improve safety and accessibility, transportation officials said. The upgrades will include changes to sidewalks, crossings, pedestrian safety, lighting and technology.
