Description
TEMECULA, CA — In an effort to accommodate local demand for coronavirus testing, the City of Temecula has partnered with Covid Clinic, Inc. to temporarily provide drive-thru screening to residents at three different city parking lot locations.
The testing sites include:
Margarita Recreation Center, 29119 Margarita Road (The site is now open and is operating every other day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments are required. Click here to make an appointment.)
Patricia H. Birdsall Sports Park, 32380 Deer Hollow Way (The site is expected to open Jan. 20 with hours of operation similar to the Margarita Recreation Center location.)
Temecula Community Center, 28816 Pujol Street (The site is expected to open Jan. 20 with hours of operation similar to the Margarita Recreation Center location.)
Testing at the sites is free and available to anyone with or without COVID-19 symptoms. The COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) diagnostic test (with laboratory results in a few days) is the test being offered. The clinics will offer other COVID-19 tests that require payment upfront, including rapid results testing at a cost outlined on the Covid Clinic website.
"Providing easy access to COVID-19 testing is critical to assist in efforts to contain and mitigate the current COVID-19 surge impacting our local hospitals. It will help to inform people who test positive to quarantine or isolate themselves to prevent further transmission," said Temecula Mayor Maryann Edwards. "We are proud to partner with Covid Clinic to bring additional testing sites to convenient locations throughout the city, at least until the impact to our regional healthcare system subsides."
