Description

Press release from the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh : by Teen Specialists Wednesday, January 13, 2021 Battle of the Books has gone virtual! Kids and teens in grades 5 through 12 can participate in this trivia contest and registration is open now for events scheduled throughout the month of March. Every year, teams read a list of books carefully selected by library staff. They meet and compete by answering trivia questions about the books in a fun and exciting atmosphere. This year, the battles will look a little different, as they will be held online. Don't worry, it will still be a lot of fun, even if we're not all in the same room. Each team consists of three to five members, and should have an adult manager/mentor (e.g. teacher, school librarian or parent). Choose a name for your team, read the books and come ready to show us what you're made of! 5th grade booklist 6th grade booklist 7th – 8th grade booklist 9th – 12th grade booklist The booklists above offer a diverse selection of genres, formats and characters, so there's something for everyone.
