ELMHURST, IL — Someone broke the front plate glass door of Oberweis Ice Cream, 1018 S. York St., overnight Sunday and entered the business, according to a report filed by Elmhurst police.
The person disturbed items in the store, though nothing appeared to be missing, police said.
Here are two other burglary-related reports from the Elmhurst police:
A locked house was burglarized between 4 p.m. Nov. 12 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 13 in the 400 block of West Butterfield Road. Costume jewelry and other items were stolen. The burglary was reported Monday.A resident in the 200 block of May Street informed police that he reviewed surveillance footage and saw a man walking up his front steps and possibly trying to open his locked front door about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. A neighbor told police that he saw the same man and that he appeared to be a door-to-door solicitor. The man was described as white, 50 to 60 years old, having an average build and height, and wearing a dark jacket with a logo.
