DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove Township Democratic Organization is holding a food drive on Jan. 18 to benefit Hinsdale Community Services. The food drive, part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 908 Curtiss St. The following items are need for the food drive: Pasta Pasta sauce Cereal Pancake mix Peanut butterTuna fish Canned chicken Rice Canned fruit Canned vegetables Household cleaning supplies Toilet paper Paper towels What: Downers Grove Township Democratic Organization Food Drive When: Jan. 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Where: 908 Curtiss St. Patch has partnered with Feeding America to help raise awareness on behalf of the millions of Americans facing hunger. Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks across the country, estimates that in 2020, more than 54 million Americans will not have enough nutritious food to eat due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
