BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA — Bristol Borough has had a rare sort of overnight visitor. The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bonito, which patrols the Delaware River as part of its homeland security mission, stopped in and docked overnight at the Bristol Borough docks. The Bonito's crew, station out of Cape May, spent some time on and around Mill Street and visited several businesses and restaurants, according to borough officials. The 87-foot Bonito has an 11-man crew and can reach speeds of up to 25 knots (about 29 mph). The crew is expected to return to the Bristol area in the coming months, officials said.
