LEVITTOWN, PA — The Levittown branch of the Bucks County Free Library is set to reopen next week, after being closed more than two months for renovations. The library, at 7311 New Falls Rd., closed on Nov. 16 for the work. It will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 19, officials announced. During renovations, the library's small windows were replaced with larger ones, bringing more light into the building. It was part of a move to make the library a more comfortable, attractive and welcoming space for community members, officials said. Many of the library's windows also were damaged or defective, system officials said at the time. The renovations were made with the help of grants from state and local governments and the support of the Bucks County Board of Commissioners. All Bucks County Free Library branches currently are open for browsing and checkouts, after shutdowns last year due to the coronavirus outbreak. Seating areas and study rooms are open. The Levittown branch will be open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays. The branch also offers resources and services including curbside pickup of materials and library cards, virtual help desk services, phone services, and an e-library.
