Description

Hi! I'm a guitarist and singer looking for others who would like to collaborate to create an original fun, up-tempo, catchy, crunchy indie rock band that would mix one or more of the following genres: garage rock / proto-punk / surf / rockabilly / rhythm and blues / soul / doo-wop / blues / old timey folk / etc. My overarching desired outcome is to have fun and put smiles on the faces in the audience and have them jumping, shakin' it uncontrollably, tapping feet, and otherwise loving what we're playing and wanting more. After COVID, I'd like to play at venues or house shows once or twice per month locally (or regionally over a long weekend on occasion), but I have a full-time job and no aspirations for fortune or fame. I'm open to original takes on covers, but I'd prefer to have the majority of our songs be original. It would be awesome to eventually record, too. I've played guitar for 25 years and am in my 30s. You can listen to some tracks from my most recent collaboration here: thebustedmonks.bandcamp.com. I also love different styles than what you hear there (see first sentence). I don't care how old you are, if you're LGBTQ+, your sex/gender, color, creed, etc., as long as you can play your instrument decently and have a decent sense of rhythm and dynamic and are kind and fun with a sense of humor and open to feedback and change and collaborative creativity. Anyway, holler if you want to meet up and have a socially distanced tea or a beer or just get to it and jam. If you have an addiction, then it won't be a good fit. Also, please only reply if you're taking the pandemic seriously...if you don't wear a mask properly and don't really care about distancing or hand-washing, then we're also not a good fit. Thanks for reading this long-winded post, and take care!
