Press release from the City of Phoenix: January 13, 2021 City of Phoenix offices will be closed Monday, January 18, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. Here's how city services are affected: Solid Waste: Trash and recycling will be collected as usual. There will be no change in collection day. Please place your trash and recycling containers 4 feet apart at the curb by 5:30 a.m. Transfer Stations: The 27th Avenue and North Gateway Transfer Stations will be closed. Public Transit: Bus and light rail are operating on a weekday service schedule. No RAPID or Express bus service. Customer Service is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Service windows at transit centers are closed. Visit valleymetro.org for more information. Library: All Phoenix Public Library locations are closed. Phoenix Public Library book drops remain available with the exception of South Mountain Community Library. Customers may access library resources 24/7 by visiting phoenixpubliclibrary.org.
