Hoover Teen Missing Since Jan. 3, Police Ask For Assistance

HOOVER, AL — Hoover police are asking for assistance from the public in locating a teenager who left her home Jan. 3 and has not been seen since. Police say 15-year-old Ciara Marie Sheckles voluntarily left her home on foot at approximately 4 p.m. Although her destination was unknown at the time she left her home, police said she has ties to Hueytown, Pleasant Grove, Sylacauga, Bessemer and Birmingham. "(Her) Last clothing description is unknown, but Ciara frequently wears a camo jacket, jeans, and white shoes," a release by the Hoover Police Department said. She is listed at 5-foot-6-inches tall and roughly 130 pounds.
