Description

My name is Bridget, and I currently organize a new artist studio in East Boulder. We are currently a collection of 4 ceramic artists and 1 candle maker. We are looking for one additional artist to rent a space within our unit. Our studio is located very close to the intersection of 55th and Arapahoe, in East Boulder. The studio space overall is about 1,100 sq. feet. Since most of us are ceramicists, the space is roughly divided as follows: -5 individual personal units, roughly 100 sq. ft. each -A shared kiln station, with firing rack. -A shared slab rolling station -A shared glazing station -A shared packing/shipping station -Access to basic utilities including bathroom, 'work-sink', refrigerator, microwave, etc. We are preferably looking for another ceramicist, due to the fact that a lot of equipment and other supplies are shared. Included in the rent would be fair access to everything listed above. If you are not a ceramicist and you are still interested in the space, that is fine! Just be aware that you may not get to reap the benefits of all the shared commodities. We are flexible though and the goal is to make sure everyone gets a fair and appropriate deal when it comes to space. You do not need your own kiln if you are a ceramic artist. We are adhering to covid guidelines, including mask wearing, staggering hours when possible, etc. The space is very open with high ceilings, and each unit is somewhat separated. However when Covid is over we do intend to move in the direction of a space that holds workshops/classes, and hosts small community gatherings. Most of us have 'day-jobs' outside of the studio, so you won't need to expect events every week. The space is $450 per month. We already have a lease thru the end of August however we anticipate signing for several years to come. Your lease would start at your earliest convenience and run through ((?/?/21 not sure of the exact date))) with the likely ability to renew after that. Utilities cost extra, and depend a bit on your art-medium. The basic heat/electric utilities regardless of what you do, are only cost about $10 per person per month. If you use a lot of power, we will charge appropriately. We keep a kiln log to monitor all ceramic artist's costs. Please note, your unit does not come 'furnished'. We have each individually been building/installing shelves and workbenches over the past few months. The communal space is pretty well furnished at this point, but it's still a work in progress. Please send me a message if you are interested in joining. We look forward to meeting you!
