FOUND PETS AT THE SHELTER

If you are missing a pet in KCMO you should do at least 1 of the following 3 things: 1)go in person to KC Pet Project to see if your pet is there 2)go to the shelter website (www.kcpetproject.org/services) to view found animals at the Shelter, 3)go to the KC Pet Project lost and found FB page (www.facebook.com/KCPetProjectLostFound) to view the daily album of found pets impounded at the shelter. In addition you should file a lost report and attach a picture on the KC Pet Project website, put a post on Nextdoor, create a post on your FB page and share to several of the lost and found FB groups, and post on Craigslist -lost and found (this section). If you go to the Lost Pet Registry KC website (www.lostpetregistrykc.net) you can access links to all of the above, as well as links to found pets at neighboring shelters. Please take action immediately as any animal brought to the shelter is only on hold for owner to reclaim for 5 days. After that the pet will be eligible to be adopted into a new home.
