Description
SALEM, MA — Public access to Salem City Hal and other municipal offices will remain restricted through at least Jan. 20.
Residents will only be able to enter City Hall, City Hall annex and the business office at the Department of Public Services through an appointment or calling ahead. All city offices will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The offices were closed to general entry prior to Christmas because of surging coronavirus cases in the city and the region. Those restrictions were extended last week.
Those who need to access municipal buildings are asked to contact the appropriate department here to arrange for an appointment.
Those registered for a Salem Park & Recreation program are urged to contact the department to find out if it is still taking place or it is canceled. The Mayor Jean Levesque Community Life Center remains closed to the public.
