Restore Texas Families Gathering: a weekend of advocacy, impact, and fellowship The Body of Christ (the Christian Church) is uniquely equipped and mandated to care for for foster, adopted, and at-risk children. It is our philosophy that a combination of grass-roots efforts by individual churches, church-based ministries, lay-leaders, and local (Texas) faith-based bridge organizations can create a united voice for child welfare advocacy and measurable, positive impact on outcomes for children in our State. The annual Restore Texas Families Gathering is a platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices. Gatherings provide the opportunity for fellowship, growth and training. The Gathering spans two days, Friday, February 26th and Saturday, February 27th.  Friday evening we will gather at Matt & Julie Kouri's home in Austin, TX (11000 Plumewood, Austin, TX 78750).  Dinner is provided. Saturday will be at Fostering Hope Austin's Family Center. Specific training and topics TBA. Due to limitations on space and the scope of Restore Texas Families' mission, attendance will be determined by application. Early Registration is $40 per person (increases to $50 per person after February 12) and includes dinner Friday, lunch Saturday, and all materials.
