ANNAPOLIS, MD — Monarch Academy Annapolis, a charter school in Anne Arundel County, will honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day with an online event this Friday. The virtual happening will reflect on the life of the civil rights leader.
"Three creative presentations will showcase King's youth, activism and dream for the nation," the academy said in a release.
A student at the academy, Life Morrison, will present "I am Young Martin." Community member William Rowell will present "I am MLK, Civil Rights Activist." Director of Admissions Brandon Turner will present "I am MLK, The Dreamer."
