Press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Colorado: January 12, 2021 The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado and the Denver Field Office of the FBI are committed to holding perpetrators of last week's Capitol violence to account for any federal crimes. At the same time, we are working together with state and local authorities to ensure that any demonstrations that may take place in Colorado remain peaceful. Should that not be the case, we will investigate and aggressively prosecute those who violate federal law. While First Amendment rights will be protected, our offices will ensure that our criminal laws are enforced.
