DENVER, CO — Thousands of people head to Colorado's largest stores each week to buy groceries and other household items, and many of those stores have faced ongoing coronavirus outbreaks. If you're concerned about contracting the virus and grocery delivery services aren't an option for you, washing your hands as frequently as possible, social distancing and wearing a mask will go a long way in protecting you, health officials said. Also, try to shop at a time when you aren't in a rush — it may take longer to get around while you're trying to stay as far away from others as possible. Colorado retail and grocery stores have strict cleaning procedures and coronavirus safety measures in place; however, many businesses are dealing with ongoing outbreaks due to the number of people who shop each week. Some outbreaks have lasted more than a month since they were first detected. Here is a list of active outbreaks at grocery and retail stores in Denver as of Wednesday: Like what you're reading?
