Description

Press release from the City of Roseville: January 13, 2021 As part of Phase 1A of Minnesota's vaccine distribution, emergency workers, including Roseville police officers and firefighters, are receiving their first COVID-19 vaccinations with the second dose to follow. Ramsey County Public Health, working with Ramsey County Emergency Management, is coordinating the vaccination effort. Public health nurses and other medical professionals who volunteer through the Medical Reserve Corps in Ramsey County are administering the vaccinations. All Roseville firefighters and police officers will be encouraged to receive the vaccination, but it is not required. Once they receive a shot they will return 28 to 31 days later to receive the second vaccination. Vaccine recipients report few side effects. The most common complaint was a sore arm the day following the shot, but that cleared up quickly. This press release was produced by the City of Roseville.
