Make Hypertufa Pots with Pinky
Saturday, February 29, 2021
9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Instructor: Pinky Ormand
Back by popular demand! This class will introduce you to the planters used in English gardens that will add character to your yard and save you money on pots. Hypertufa pots are made from a mixture of Portland cement and have the appearance of rugged stone. They are tough and will withstand most weather conditions, yet are lightweight. Learn the technique and take home four completed small planters. You will get dirty, so wear your old clothes. Please bring a box to carry your pots home.
Pinky Ormand is a horticulturist at Harry P. Leu Gardens and maintains the Idea Garden, White Garden, Butterfly Garden and the Camellia Collection. Pinky attended the University of Central Florida where she graduated with a B.A. in Art and has also earned a Landscape & Horticulture Technology degree from Valencia College.
