Press release from the City of Berkeley: January 13, 2021) - Press Contact: Byron White, Berkeley Police Department, (510) 981-5780 Berkeley, California (Wednesday, January 13, 2021) - On January 12th at 10:46 pm, officers responded to the 1100 block of University Avenue on a report of a person that had been stabbed. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 40's who had been stabbed in his abdomen and legs. The man was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injuries. Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, with low-cut blonde hair, 30-40 years old, about 5'8" tall and wearing jeans.
