A plant species list of Carlos’ favorite planting combinations for Zone 10 and a list of local nursery resources for plant materials will be available to students.  Instructor Bio:  Carlos Somoza is an award-winning landscape architect. He is passionate about the design and craft of modern tropical gardens.  Carlos specializes in creating naturalized landscapes and contemporary outdoor spaces.  His design studio purveys bespoke garden projects with unique narratives and memorable experiences.  He travels with both passport and camera as he visits private estates and botanic gardens for design inspiration and to capture winning combinations of plant palettes in their native environment.
