Description
ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police seized a gun, ammunition, suspected drugs packaged for sale, and cash Sunday morning as they arrested one person.
The case began with a tip from a citizen who said that a driver was asleep at the wheel of a running car.
According to police, "When officers arrived, they made contact with the occupant, who displayed signs of intoxication. As the driver exited the vehicle to perform a field sobriety test, officers quickly noticed a partially concealed firearm in the driver's side door. During a further search of the vehicle, officers located additional ammunition and suspected marijuana packaged for sale."
The arrest happened near the intersection of Regent Street and Encinal Avenue at 7:50 a.m.
