A free weekend event designed to help your marriage thrive. This event is a gift from us to you, a free opportunity to grow your marriage through Bible study, workshops, and worship. You also have the opportunity to purchase one of our Marriage Builder Kits for $40, which include a table-top game for two, a make-at-home meal recipe, a photo scavenger hunt, a book, and other goodies. Guest speakers for the weekend include Professor Dave Scharf from Martin Luther College, Pastor Ben Blumer from NorthCross Church in Lakeville, MN, and Him + Her Worship. The weekend beings Saturday morning: 8:30-9:00 - Coffee time 9:00-9:30 - Bible Study on Psalm 1 with Brandon Steenbock 9:45-10:30 - Workshop Options 10:30-11:00 - Coffee time 11:00-11:45 - Workshop Options 11:45-1:15 - Lunch on your own (many local options) 1:15-2:00 - Music with Him + Her 2:00-2:45 - Workshop Options 3:00-4:00 - Keynote Address with Prof. Dave Scharf 5:00 PM Saturday; 9:00 & 10:30 AM Sunday - Worship with Him + Her and guest preacher Ben Blumer Ben Blumer has been a pastor since 2003 when he was assigned to a mission congregation in Lakeville, MN called Bethlehem. He still serves at Bethlehem in the role of lead pastor. Ben’s ministry passions are preaching, leadership, and creating churches that have a strong desire to share the timeless truth of Jesus in a way that is timely. In his free time Ben enjoys coaching basketball, working out, and spending time with his family. Ben and his wife Carrie have four children. Him + Her Worship is a husband and wife worship band. Seth and Jenna Herlich began their musical journey playing at their church in Lakeville, MN. They started touring and playing at churches, recorded their first single in 2019, and 2020 released their first studio album "Even in the Dark." They believe in bringing art and story into worship, and are passionate for bringing authenticity and vulnerability into their music. Previously, he served as pastor at Immanuel in Greenville, WI from 2005 to 2016. He and his wife, Beth, have been blessed with six children. Prof. Scharf also appears regularly in the Time of Grace video devotion series.
