NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Nassau County Executive Laura Curran is in quarantine after being exposed to someone with the coronavirus, a county spokesperson said.
According to Spokeswoman Christine Geed, Curran will be quarantining for the 10 days recommended by the CDC.
"The county executive is feeling well and will be getting tested appropriately during her quarantine which will begin immediately and end on Friday, Jan. 22, pending test results," Geed said in a statement.
The county did not say when or where Curran was exposed to the virus. She appeared this morning at a press conference in front of Nassau University Medical Center with the hospital's CEO and County Health Commissioner Dr. Lawrence Eisenstein. Social distancing protocols were observed during the press conference.
