The virtual event is set for Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 7 to 8:45 p.m. In this fun, fast-paced improv game, four authors, representing different subgenres in mystery fiction, from cozy/traditional to thriller/suspense, will brainstorm to create a new mystery, using suggestions from the audience, and thereby offering insights into workings of mystery authors' minds and the conventions of the genre. The four authors are Lisa Braxton, Clea Simon, J.A. McIntosh and Richard Cass. Sisters in Crime New England is a chapter of the international organization Sisters in Crime. It includes authors, readers, publishers, agents, booksellers and librarians bound by their passion for the mystery genre and our support of women who write mysteries. The group welcomes sisters and brothers in crime from anywhere who have an interest in the New England mystery community.
