Description

Join us for this edition of our McFerrin Methods to hear from a special guest speaker, Stephanie Powell '03. Why Building Your Brand Is Not About YouWho is your brand about? (Hint: it’s not about you.) Your brand is about the customer you serve. Don’t get us wrong. Your brand should shine a spotlight on your unique and awesome talents as an entrepreneur. But if you want to attract and convert those holy grail clients they need to be able to find you first. Are you giving future clients a reason to stop and take notice of how you can serve them? Or are you so focused on the brand representing you as an individual that you’ve lost sight of your client entirely? Stephanie Powell ’03 is a branding and marketing expert who will teach you how to build a brand that is bold, brazen, and ready to serve your clients. It’s time to make more money being real, raw, and unapologetically you! Stephanie Powell ’03In 2018 Stephanie Powell ’03 left her 13 year career in public education to become an entrepreneur and start a graphic and creative design firm. Before relocating from Dallas to the Bryan/College Station area, she apprenticed at Brass Tacks Collective. There, she became a specialist in creative ventures and developing authentic, intentional branding and web design. She is fiercely passionate about teaching her clients and fellow entrepreneurs how to serve their clients while maintaining that unique quality that makes them memorable. Stephanie is a lion chaser, a creative, a designer, a total nerd, an educator, a dancer, an Aggie (Whoop!), a photographer, a fierce animal advocate, and a forever champion of the oxford comma. Stephanie is an intense logophile and a walking juxtaposition. Every aspect of her life, especially the creative design part, loudly echoes that statement. Her goal is to live life as authentically as humanly possible and surround herself with the souls who seek to do the same. Well, that and to revel in as many side-splitting, crying not-making-sound-anymore laughs as she can. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ The McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship hosts a variety of workshops throughout each semester. These thought-provoking meetings provide an opportunity to network with entrepreneurial-minded individuals as well as expand your knowledge base. Workshops are open to Texas A&M current students, faculty, staff, and the local Bryan/College Station community. Registration is required.
