Description

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford residents have a chance to tell town officials how they feel about local housing needs and policies, as the Stratford Housing Partnership is conducting a survey about housing in town and possible strategies for the future. The Housing Partnership is a Stratford committee established in 1990 and reinvigorated in 2020, according to a town news release. Its purpose is to examine housing needs and opportunities in Stratford, advise town boards and commissions on housing matters such as affordable housing, and develop and activate a long-range plan to satisfy housing needs in town as required by state law. The survey includes a wide range of questions, including whether Stratford should revise zoning regulations to allow multi-family units town-wide and if Stratford should require that new housing developments include some affordable units or other provision for affordable housing. To take the survey, visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/Stratford_Residents. It will be live and accepting responses until Monday, according to Housing Partnership records.
