MIDDLETOWN, CT - A Middletown resident is $50,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in town earlier this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery. On January 12, Leslie Benfield, of Middletown, purchased a Powerball ticket from the Middletown Stop & Shop and won $50,000.
