GREENWICH, CT — The Bruce Museum and the Greenwich Historical Society are the recipients of grants meant to offset lost income due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Bruce Museum was awarded $45,454.50 and the historical society was awarded $22,727.25from CT Humanities' COVID Relief Fund for Museums. In total, CT Humanities, with funding provided by the Connecticut State Department of Economic and Community Development/Connecticut Office of the Arts through an allocation from the CARES Act, provided $1.5 million in grants. The funds are meant to help larger non-profit museums and humanities organizations recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding was made available to larger organizations with full-time staff and annual operating budgets of at least $450,000, with priority given to those with annual operating budgets of $500,000 or more.
