Description
BROOKFIELD, CT — The public schools will be returning to in-person education on Jan.19.
In a letter to families on Tuesday, Superintendent John Barile wrote that the Public Schools' facilities director and principals have walked through each school with their respective head custodian to evaluate building readiness and ensure proper cleaning supply levels.
Approximately 70 percent of students will be attending school in-person in kindergarten through eighth grade. Around the same percentage will be returning to the hybrid learning model at Brookfield High School, with remote learning on Wednesdays.
The Brookfield Police Department will be supporting the schools during arrival and dismissal, Barile said.
The superintendent is advising parents to keep their children home if they feel sick, or if anyone in their household has tested positive for COVID-19.
