REDWOOD CITY, CA — Three stories of a downtown Redwood City affordable housing development have been completed, Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco said Tuesday. "We're proud of our progress bringing much needed #affordablehousing to San Mateo County. We can't wait to welcome 20 local families as new #homeowners soon," Habitat Greater SF wrote on Twitter. Crews broke ground on the development in July of 2019 according to the report. The projects boasts a 174 dwellings unit per acre (du/acre). "This is a great example of how Habitat can take a small parcel of land and, through innovative design, maximize the number of homes being built," Habitat Greater SF said on its website. The group hasn't announced an expected completion date but said on its website "local families will be moving into these affordable homes in 2021."
