Calling all kayakers, canoers and walkers! Volunteer to help cleanup the Hillsborough River and Tampa Riverwalk on Sunday, January 24th. To kick-off Green Week, the Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee is joining forces with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful for Super Clean-Up presented by Tampa Electric. The cleanup is part of Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful’s Trash Free Waters Day Cleanup and serves as a call to action to create more sustainable communities by focusing volunteer efforts on activities that impact individuals in need, lead to aesthetic community improvements, and provide a positive environmental impact. Litter on roadways, in parks, rivers, and neighborhoods negatively affects the environment, and isn’t something residents or visitors want to see in their community. Participants in the cleanup will assist with litter removal and beautification of the downtown area! We’ve got you covered! We are partnering with Urban Kai to offer rentals for Super Clean-Up volunteers. After completing registration, email [email protected] if you are interested in a kayak rental. You will receive a ticket at check-in to claim your rental. Signup is first come, first serve for the first 50 volunteers. What To Bring • Work or garden gloves • Sunscreen • Hat/Sunglasses • Protective footwear (close-toed) Trash bags, water and soft gloves are provided.
