Ellie Mental Health, a franchise that makes quality mental health services more accessible, will be opening a new location in Sandy Springs. Local couple Athar and Suraya Khan are transforming mental health culture in Atlanta by bringing Ellie’s creative solutions and innovative thinking to help reduce barriers in access to quality mental health services. The new clinic will be located at 5901 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Suite A-225 and will officially open for services on February 13th. As involved members of their community, Athar and Suraya Khan were intrigued by Ellie Mental Health’s mission to change the culture and accessibility of mental health services. Looking to start a business of their own in the Atlanta area, the couple was drawn to Ellie Mental Health because they wanted to make a positive impact on their community. This led them to establishing their own clinic in Sandy Springs. “Launching a business that impacts the community positively was a big objective of mine,” said Suraya Khan. “Observing the impact that the pandemic has had on the community made it a no-brainer. We decided to establish the Sandy Springs clinic in hopes to make mental health care more accessible to the community and we are so proud to bring Ellie's quality services to Sandy Springs.” Ciara Green, the clinical director at Ellie Mental Health in Sandy Springs, is proud to be a part of the brand. Green has worked in the mental health field for over a decade, has a wide range of experience in working with children, teens, and adults, and is trained in EMDR therapy. “Ellie was founded by therapists, which means they understand the obstacles that both therapists and clients encounter in the field,” she said. “The brand works to eliminate those typical obstacles, so that therapists can focus on helping clients progress and heal.
